Bosses are sometimes hard to beat, but first make sure that they don't have any special requirements for defeating them.

Try long pressing the boss icon/avatar to see if they have an immunity shield that you need to break.

Long pressing the boss icon/avatar should also show you if a certain skill can nullify attacks lower than X combos.
